as of Wednesday 14th April, The 1911 Café will be open for outdoor dining and takeaway only.
The 1911 Café have read and interpreted the government guidelines regarding social distancing, collection of customer information for NHS track and trace, party size numbers and how to keep our café secure from COVID 19.
Firstly if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or had a test/booked a test with no results received please DO NOT ENTER The 1911 Café.
We are required to collect from your name and telephone number for all persons entering The 1911 Café, this information will be stored for 21 days after this it will be destroyed. This information will be held securely and in the event of an incident this will be passed to NHS track and trace service, no other third-party access will see this data as part of GDPR requirements. Any persons declining giving the requested information will be refused entry and service at the 1911 Cafe as part of the legal requirement. We display a QR code for our premises for the official NHS Covid-19 trace and trace app. Please scan on this QR code on your arrival. The NHS Track and Trace app is available to download on the Apple and Google stores.
All customer detail must be collected as part of a legal requirement, this collection is compulsory for all persons over the age of 16
We also request no gloves are to be worn when entering or dining in. If you are wearing gloves you will be asked to remove them and dispose of them in the bins provided. We have had this ruling from day one and I want to keep my café clean and Covid free. hand sanitiser is provided please use this when entering. When you arrive at The 1911 Café we request that you wait by the sign that says please wait here to be seated. A member of my staff will take you to the table. At present this is outside seating until restrictions are lifted.
Please can we request you remain at the table during your visit, please do not interact with other tables For example visiting other tables and holding a conversation over them. I have authorised my staff as part of our legal requirement to ask you to remain seated, should they see this kind of excessive movement. I am sorry this pandemic is not over and we cannot act like it is.
Please use the bins provided around the rooms to dispose of any napkins, masks, wipes, paper packaging such as sugar and salt packets rather than leaving them on the table. Our menu is disposable and to take this with you or dispose of it in the bins.
We have closed our main counter and indoor seating, Please do not visit the counter at any time we will come to your table to take your order bring your food, You can also text your order using the mobile number on our menus. we can also take a payment directly at your table. A bill will be produced and you have the option of paying with cash or preferred a credit or debit card. We have a contactless card payment facility which take all major credit card and debit card providers including Apple Pay and Google pay mobile devices. Our machine contactless limit is £45, this is dependent on your card issuer. Chip and pin is also available. Toilets are available however you will have to wear a mask inside the premises.
Unfortunately we are unable to accept dogs other than assistance dogs within the café.
Please ensure that you look after your personal belongings we have removed all coat racks.

Remember we are all in this together and we cannot think this is over and act like it is. The outdoor seating opening is a massive step forward to allow hospitality to reopen in full. Please ensure you follow the guidelines in your day to day activities including visiting us.
