Following the government’s announcement I have taken the decision to close in accordance to the lockdown ruling from Wednesday 2nd December until further notice, all our services including takeaway at The 1911 Café.
Myself, Di and Lizzie would like to thank all our loyal and new customers for the support you have given us from day one of opening within a lockdown and we look forward to welcoming you all back in December.

The 1911 Café have read and interpreted the government guidelines regarding social distancing, collection of customer information for NHS track and trace, party size numbers and how to keep our café secure from COVID 19.
Firstly if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or had a test/booked a test with no results received please DO NOT ENTER The 1911 Café.
We also request no gloves are to be worn when entering or dining in. If you are wearing gloves you will be asked to remove them and dispose of them in the bins provided. We have had this ruling from day one and I want to keep my café clean and Covid free. hand sanitiser is provided please use this when entering.
PLEAE NOTE AS OF THURSDAY 24TH SEPTEMBER ALL CUSTOMERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK WHEN NOT SEATED AT THEIR TABLE, THIS INCLUDES ENTERING, LEAVING AND VISITING THE TOILET FACILITIES
As part of the government guidelines rule of six The maximum amount of people you will be able to book in your party will be six persons, this will include children and infants.
The majority of The 1911 Café tables are 2, 3 and four persons, our maximum table size is six. The amount of people allowed in the café at any one time excluding staff is 39 people. Please do not attempt to bring more than six people when visiting The 1911 Café , or entry and service will be declined, sorry like yourselves there are legal requirements that are enforced by law with high fines. If you wish to book a table you can by calling us on 01922408900 we will only accept bookings if the party size is 6 or less, please do not ask for more than 6 people, as the answer will be no. Please ensure when booking you everyone, an infant or child who is dining or not is included in the party number.
When you arrive at The 1911 Café we request that you wait by the sign that says please wait here to be seated. A member of my staff will take you to the table.
Please can we request you remain at the table during your visit, please do not interact with other tables For example visiting other tables and holding a conversation over them. I have authorised my staff as part of our legal requirement to ask you to remain seated, should they see this kind of excessive movement. I am sorry this pandemic is not over and we cannot act like it is.
All customer detail must be collected as part of a legal requirement, although The 1911 Café already Collects this data, this collection is now compulsory.
We display the QR code for our premises for the official NHS Covid-19 trace and trace app. Please scan on this QR code on your arrival. The app is available to download on the Apple and Google stores.
We are required to collect from your name and telephone number for you and your party. this information will be stored for 21 days after this it will be destroyed. This information will be held securely and in the event of an incident this will be passed to NHS track and trace service, no other third-party access will see this data as part of GDPR requirements. Any persons declining giving the requested information will be refused entry and service at the 1911 Cafe as part of the legal requirement.
Our café is already socially spaced with tables and chairs 2 meters apart from the next table. All of the tables and chairs are fully sanitised after each use and also sanitised are regular touch areas such as doors, window ledges and our card machine.
My staff will only to take you to the sanitised table. Please remain seated at this table, this includes children.
Please use the bins provided around the rooms to dispose of any napkins, masks, wipes, paper packaging such as sugar and salt packets rather than leaving them on the table. Our menu is disposable and to take this with you or dispose of it in the bins.
We have closed our main counter. Please do not visit the counter at any time we will come to your table to take your order bring your food, You can also text your order using the mobile number on our menus. we can also take a payment directly at your table. A bill will be produced and you have the option of paying with cash or preferred a credit or debit card. We have a contactless card payment facility which take all major credit card and debit card providers including Apple Pay and Google pay mobile devices. Our machine contactless limit is £45, this is dependent on your card issuer. Chip and pin is also available.
Unfortunately we are unable to accept dogs other than assistance dogs within the café.
Please ensure that you look after your personal belongings we have removed all coat racks.

Remember we are all in this together and we cannot think this is over and act like it is. Please ensure you follow the guidelines in your day to day activities including visiting us.
